Swabhava Ke Geet
Music has been an integral part of understanding myself, where I come from, and where I am headed.
I will be sharing a compilation my of personal music projects as well as my favourite field recordings over the years with the intent of embracing the generational continuity of ancestral music. Some pieces are solos, and others are collaborations with many brilliant Musicians in the Indo-Caribbean Music Scene.
I am so thankful for this language that has allowed me to show up authentically in my life and gain the confidence to collaborate with many talented Musicians. I hope anything on my page can inspire others to follow their passions.
(why the name?)
"Swabhava" (pr. Swa'bhau) is the ancient Vedic concept of one's unique, individual identity in this manifested physical world.
While the concept and pursuit of enlightenment generally means transcending the ego and the wheel of "Samsara" (obligatory reincarnation), we exist for a reason and we exist none the less. This is our time to experiment and play before going back home.
